Dani\u00e9 Gomez-Ortigoza is a Mexican-American multimedia artist who believes in the power of braiding with intention, and in tracing the invisible thread that braids us together in synchronicity and commonality. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe main concern of her practice is finding ways to mend the social fabric, after having lived in many different countries, and realizing how the perception of the \u2018other\u2019 is molded by an abstract understanding of ethnicity, nationality, and geography. She also activates the communities she\u2019s involved with, to generate positive change through braiding circles.\n\nDani\u00e9 is currently pursuing an associate degree in Arts. Her work has been presented at the Irving Arts Center, Frisco Hall, Mexican Consulate in Miami, Colombian Consulate in Miami, The Coral Gables Museum, The Lighthouse Dallas and Los Angeles and Sweetpass Sculpture Park among others.. She is the co-founder of what she calls the greatest braid of all which is The Bazaar for Good, a network that generates opportunities for children in Latin America through a powerful network of influencers.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

En el 2019 apareci\u00f3 como una de las 100 mujeres mexicanas que inspiran al mundo en el libro de Jonathan Klip, 'Entre Catrinas'. Ella cree en la comunidad como la estructura para redise\u00f1ar el mundo, y co-cre\u00f3 junto a Martha Graeff y un grupo muy especial de influencers, 'The Bazaar for Good', una empresa filantr\u00f3pica que utiliza la moda para recaudar fondos para proyectos con impacto social. que ha donado m\u00e1s de 300.000 usd a ni\u00f1os necesitados.<\/p>

En agosto de 2021 se mud\u00f3 a Dallas con el objetivo de enfocarse en su pr\u00e1ctica art\u00edstica, la cual se compone de performance, fotograf\u00eda y video performance, luego de haber trabajado en moda desarrollando una fuerte voz en las redes sociales a trav\u00e9s del lenguaje del cabello que ha desarrollado. en proceso de transformaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>

Ha trabajado con marcas como Chanel, Valentino, Versace, The Webster, Tory Burch, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alice y Olivia, Vizcaya (donde es Embajadora Cultural), Isabel Marant, Citi Bank, The Dal\u00ed Museum entre otras, y ha aparecido como un \u00edcono de estilo en Elle USA, Allure, Nylon, W Magazine, Vogue M\u00e9xico, InStyle Latam, Miami Magazine, Indulge Magazine, la portada de Brickell Magazine, Racked, HolaTv, NBC Universal, Hello, Telmundo, E Entertainment , LatinX, Boss Babe (ranking de las mejores mujeres de Alice y Olivia) y Who What Wear, entre otros medios.<\/p>

Dani\u00e9 ha sido panelista de Fashion Group International South Florida, Design District, RAW Residency, Womens Forum Mexico, The Retreat Miami, ha moderado conversaciones para The Future powered by MINI, Stitched Lab, Brickell City Center, Instituto Marangoni y ha compartido escenario. con Taryn Toomey, Craig Robins (fundador del Design District Miami \/ Dacra) Gabrielle Anwar, Patrick Duffy, Jenny Lopez e Irma Martinez entre otros.<\/p>

Actualmente participa en la residencia de arte ILAP y ha estado aprendiendo escultura en Creative Arts Center, textiles con Aurora Molina y arte esc\u00e9nico con Nina Surel bajo la tutor\u00eda constante de Kathryn Mikesell, de The Fountainhead Residency.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Se inspira en el trabajo de Sheila Hicks, Tunga, Cecilia Vicuna y Giorgia Volpe para expandir el alcance y la narrativa de su pr\u00e1ctica.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Su objetivo actual es profundizar en su exploraci\u00f3n de la historia del cabello como una construcci\u00f3n social y los rituales como un punto de conexi\u00f3n entre culturas y geograf\u00edas, e integrarlos en su pr\u00e1ctica mientras explora las posibilidades de la tecnolog\u00eda digital.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
