The Currency Behind Being Human

Media companies, advertising agencies and retail are suffering. Insta-sensations are thriving. We are addicted to our phones. No one really knows how to price, or market themselves any longer.

In other words, there’s flux everywhere.

Why is everything such a mess?

The thing is, we are different. We used to like perfection. We actually thought we could achieve it. So media companies and advertising agencies followed suit, and were guided by it, crafting carefully every message, building huge teams, writing proposals that made everything seem like rocket science, doing market studies to prove they were so very right, and keeping founders of big corporations as unattainable as possible, so that everything would be just perfect.

The fact that being human is the most lovable thing to be, was… overseen.

And being human means to a certain degree, being imperfect. Of course this seems crazy when you think of the big corporations that shield themselves to the core asking for 20 signatures before making the slightest move, but it is.

When you understand this, you realize that the only real currency in this world is connection. Love.

All the rest is just matter trying to make up for it: beauty, luxury, fashion; you name it! They are just channels to make you feel more lovable to yourself and to others.

More than ever, it’s all about people as brands. People as media. People as ad space.

You are a brand, even if you are not aware of it, and your story is your greatest asset.

So let’s also start thinking about Economy in a new way: a smile; the right words; the right timing; the right energy; the right intention. Everything counts. Make it count. The more you do for others, the more you will get. Build the narrative of your life, and stay human.
And in regards to the flux the world is facing, well, we all just need a group hug. A good one.
