It basically felt as if I went to sleep in Japan dreaming of their culture and values, and woke up in the USA with what seemed to be the beginning of a war, a continent on fire, never-ending earthquakes in Puerto Rico and Tik-tok taking over the social media space with what seems a lot of empty content.
And yet, I am an optimist; I have always been one, and I intend to remain the same throughout this decade, because being a pessimist seems like too much of a burden.
But it’s not an easy choice either.
So I think it’s time for all of us to simply retract and find some time to rebuild our armors.
I keep thinking about what that entitles.
The primary objective of an armor is to protect us from harm, and yet harm and pain have so many variants; so many shades.
The perfect armor shouldn’t be too tight; we still want the light to come through. But it shouldn’t be too loose either; it must protect us from fear and anxiety.
It must not cover the heart: we need that space as open as can be these days. Our rational minds want us to cover it, but we must stay vulnerable.
And the head: the head must be protected from all the noise, but attentive to the facts as objective as they can be. We want to experience a different level of consciousness.
Every fiber of your being, calls for transformation.
Break down. Let it be.
I have my good days. I have my bad days. I want to stop. I don’t want to stop. It goes up and down and up. It’s discipline. We are not having a good or bad experience.
It’s just an experience; whatever comes, we are in it.
The best is yet to come, and everyday will always be an opportunity to make things better.
