On the third episode of Danié Gómez Ortogoza’s podcast ‘Braided Conversations,’ Mexican-American Poet and Author Aida Salazar sits down to discuss her latest 2020 release; Land of the Cranes.

Land of the Cranes is the beautifully orchestrated story of a nine-year-old Mexican-American girl named Betita. This story tells the hard and poetic reality of immigration and shows the powerful effect that racism, deportation, and segregation can have on the innocence of a child.
